LENTICULAR EFFECTS
The amazing special effects of lenticular printing will increase the effectiveness of your promotional and sales messages. Our lenticular printing effects can be used alone or combined to create a wide variety of products and sales media.
The first step for you is to choose the effect that best suits your graphic or the message you are trying to get across.
You can choose from five different lenticular effects or combine two or more lenticular effects.
Flip Effect

Flip Effect is the simplest lenticular animation effect. The Flip Effect makes an image flip from one image to the next. The Flip effect allows up to three separate images to be combined and viewed independently when viewed at different angles while moving the lenticular lens.
The key to the Flip Effect is simplicity. Fewer frames will result in a more effective message. The Flip Effect is ideal for window displays where people will walk past.
2-3 frames are recommended for an optimal lenticular printing and a maximum of 6 is possible.

3D Effect

3D Effect creates depth on a normally flat surface. The 3D Effect effect is generated by splicing several frames together to trick the viewer into seeing the 3D effect. Approximately 12 images of the subject matter must recorded in a strictly defined manner.
3D lenticular effects can be incorporated into most lenticular images and designs. Bright, light imagery produces the best lenticular 3d effects.
3D Effect is ideal where there is a flow of people such as at shopping centres, receptions, window displays and point of purchase displays in stores. The lenticular 3D effect can be combined with other effects like lenticular Full Motion Video Effect.

Morph Effect

Morph Effect effects gradually change one image to another image through the use of sophisticated image algorithms.
While any two objects can be morphed, this lenticular printing technique works best when the two images are similar in shape on a common background. If the images are similar in shape and colour, the elements will produce a clean morph effect from start to end.
A red square morphing to a red circle is an effective Morph Effect.

Zoom Effect

Zoom Effects make an image appear to move closer or farther away.
The Zoom Effect works best when the background is common throughout all of the animated images, and the animation has been designed to loop the image with no obvious start or finish. Cooler, darker colours in the background and warmer, lighter tones for the element in motion tend to produce the best Zoom Effects.
Lenticular .org recommends 8-10 images animated on a single graphic that enlarges and shrinks a key element. Zoom Effect is ideal for a company logo or other iconic images.

Full Motion Video Effect

Full Motion Video Effect uses multiple frames of an action to show movement from the beginning to the end. It is like watching a movie clip.
The Full Motion Video Effect is best optimised when the background remains constant throughout the sequence. This typically requires the image source to be Digital Beta, Film or High Definition footage.
All master video formats can be used to produce Full Motion Video Effects, but Digital Beta Cam and 35mm movie film are the best source material to ensure high-quality motion effects on the lenticular product.
Full Motion Video Effect is ideal where there is a flow of people such as at shopping centres, receptions, recreation centres, window displays and point of purchase displays.
Full Motion Video is also great for demonstrating action or mechanical subjects where movement is involved, such as a yoga movement.

Combination Effect

Combination Effect is the use of two or more lenticular effects such as a zoom with full motion, or a 3D image with a flip background.
While all master video formats can be used for all lenticular effects, Digital Beta Cam and 35mm movie film are the best source material to ensure high-quality motion.
Combination Effect is ideal where there is a flow of people such as at shopping centres, receptions, recreation centres, window displays and point of purchase displays.
